We are eagerly looking for a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead our soon-to-open restaurant to new heights.
As the General Manager of Enish Houston, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our restaurant's operations to ensure the delivery of high-quality food and exceptional guest experiences. You will lead a team dedicated to creating a warm, inviting atmosphere for all our guests. Your leadership will be pivotal in driving our restaurant's success from the outset.
Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day operations of the restaurant with a hands-on approach.
Ensure high standards of food safety and cleanliness are upheld.
Lead and develop a high-performing team, setting clear objectives and providing ongoing feedback.
Handle guest complaints with professionalism and resolve issues to the satisfaction of involved parties.
Oversee inventory, order supplies, and manage vendor relationships.
Develop and execute strategies to drive business growth, increase restaurant profitability, and manage budgeting and cost controls.
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
Plan and implement marketing strategies to enhance the restaurant's presence in the local community.
Report to upper management with performance updates and strategic recommendations.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or similar role, preferably in an African or similar ethnic cuisine setting.
Strong understanding of restaurant operations including food safety, inventory, customer service, and financial reporting.
Excellent leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to motivate and direct a team.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A passion for African cuisine and culture is highly desirable.
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
