Join us at Enish Houston, a vibrant new player in Houston's culinary scene, specialising in authentic Nigerian & Afrofusion cuisine. Our mission is to offer an unforgettable dining experience through the rich flavours of West Africa and beyond coupled with impeccable service. We are eagerly looking for a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead our soon-to-open restaurant to new heights.

As the General Manager of Enish Houston, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our restaurant's operations to ensure the delivery of high-quality food and exceptional guest experiences. You will lead a team dedicated to creating a warm, inviting atmosphere for all our guests. Your leadership will be pivotal in driving our restaurant's success from the outset.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the restaurant with a hands-on approach.
  • Ensure high standards of food safety and cleanliness are upheld.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team, setting clear objectives and providing ongoing feedback.
  • Handle guest complaints with professionalism and resolve issues to the satisfaction of involved parties.
  • Oversee inventory, order supplies, and manage vendor relationships.
  • Develop and execute strategies to drive business growth, increase restaurant profitability, and manage budgeting and cost controls.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
  • Plan and implement marketing strategies to enhance the restaurant's presence in the local community.
  • Report to upper management with performance updates and strategic recommendations.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or similar role, preferably in an African or similar ethnic cuisine setting.
  • Strong understanding of restaurant operations including food safety, inventory, customer service, and financial reporting.
  • Excellent leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to motivate and direct a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for African cuisine and culture is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
