You will be responsible for overseeing and managing the tax department's operations and providing comprehensive tax planning and compliance services to our diverse client base. The role requires a deep understanding of tax laws and regulations, strong leadership skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with clients and team members.
Tax Manager Responsibilities:
Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize clients' tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Review and prepare complex tax returns for individuals, businesses, and organizations, including partnerships, corporations, and trusts.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as their primary point of contact for tax-related matters.
Understand clients' financial goals and objectives, providing valuable insights and advice on tax planning and financial strategies.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of tax professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure their professional growth and productivity.
Analyze financial data and tax implications to recommend optimal solutions for clients' tax situations.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
Monitor changes in tax legislation and implement necessary adjustments to ensure compliance for clients and the firm.
Identify opportunities to expand the firm's client base through networking, referrals, and participation in industry events.
Tax Manager Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is Required.
Minimum of 8+ years of experience in tax planning and compliance within a midsize public accounting firm.
Proficiency in tax software and accounting systems.
