Pressure Vessel Designer should be proficient in all major aspects of vessel design, specification review, and material selection.
Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks
Perform ASME Sec. VIII, Div. 1 code calculation utilizing Compress.
Perform ASME piping calculations
Reviews customer provided specifications for the projects and ensure the calculations are technically in compliance with the specifications.
Ensures pressure vessels are designed and engineered in a technically efficient and commercially viable manner.
Review and check pressure vessel, piping (ISO) drawings and other applicable project related fabrication drawings against customer specification and project documents
Works with the ASME authorized inspector to assure that ASME code requirements and design intent are met.
Works with manufacturing during fabrication to provide support with any technical/design issues.
