Job Summary:

American Rheinmetall Vehicles (ARV) is seeking to fill the position of Data Analytics Manager in support of Army vehicle programs. Candidate will serve as the lead architect in the shift of system maintenance and readiness from time-based, diagnostic, and reactive maintenance to use-analysis, prognostic, and predictive system maintenance using analytics and artificial intelligence (AI) on real-time system performance data. Candidate will manage the planning and execution of prognostics & predictive maintenance (PPMx), advanced diagnostics, testability, and data analytics for warfighter system life cycle sustainment. Candidate will ensure integration of readiness and cost considerations into the implementation, management, and oversight activities associated with the acquisition, development, production, fielding, support, and disposal of a warfighter system across its life cycle.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Essential Functions:

  • Define systems and sensors required for onboard advanced diagnostics, prognostics, and predictive maintenance to minimize maintenance frequency, avoiding unplanned outages and unnecessary preventive maintenance costs.
  • Design, develop, and implement a Prognostics & Predictive Maintenance (PPMx) data analysis system to identify operational anomalies and potential system/component defects to enable timely repairs before failures occur.
  • Responsible for the development of PPMx system training procedures.
  • Responsible for PPMx BMS process development.
  • Manage PPMx team resource demand across programs and contracts.
  • Support BOE/proposal development of Defense System PPMx products.
  • Develop project management methods of tracking, status, and metrics for PPMx product development; communicate effort status and metrics to internal and external stakeholders
  • Support development and maintenance of program Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) linked to predecessor and successor tasks and/or program milestones.
  • Develop material and brief program and functional meetings (Start of Work Meetings (SOWM), Kick-off (KO) meetings, In Process Reviews (IPR), Integrated Process Team (IPT) meetings, Program Management Reviews (PMR), Closeout meetings).
  • Identify risks and opportunities; maintain risk registers; develop risk statements, criteria, and mitigation plans.

Supervisory Responsibility:

  • This position will supervise PPMx engineering resources.

Minimum Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (as demonstrated through experience, training and/or testing)

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Expert understanding of defense industry logistics support analysis and logistics management information data and how this data supports DoD contractual requirements for Integrated Product Support (IPS).
  • Ability to define, explain, and document the process for development and use of PPMx, data analytics and AI within the defense industry.
  • Familiarity with the defense industry product support analysis (PSA) and provisioning data development.
  • Familiarity with defense system technical manual development and the utilization of PSA and provisioning data for technical manual development.
  • Working knowledge of defense acquisition and supply support/supply chain management
  • Fundamental knowledge of logistics support analysis, Level of Repair Analysis (LORA), and Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA).
  • Working knowledge of DoD system design tools and technical data package development

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field + 15 years of combined DoD systems product support and data analytics experience

Experience:

  • Experience in DoD system support analysis and planning.
  • Experience managing outcomes required for DoD acceptance.
  • Experience in managing and supervising people.
  • Experience in supporting technical proposal activities including Technical Volume development, evaluation of requirements within statements of Work or Requests for Proposal, and creation of Product Support Bases of Estimates
  • Experience with planning and execution requirements at all phases of a warfighter system lifecycle.
  • Experience with managing the integration of hardware with software and a digital environment.
  • 10 years of experience using data to predict outcomes and support decision-making.
  • Demonstrated ability to use customer designated systems, processes, and tools.
  • 3 years’ experience developing requirements for and monitoring progress of SCRUM activities.
  • Experience visualizing data for executive and customer consumption.

Background Prerequisites:

  • Must undergo and meet company standards for background check, employment verification, reference checks and controlled substance testing.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP©) Certification
  • DAU Lifecycle Logistics Certification
  • Certified Analytics Professional (CAP©) Certification
