Job Summary: We are looking to hire a Solutions Architect with a strong background in Databricks, cloud computing, and data engineering to spearhead our Databricks project in a cloud environment. The successful candidate will collaborate with various teams to develop scalable, efficient, and secure solutions that align with our business goals and technical needs.



LOCATION: Remote is acceptable. The company is in Phoenix, Arizona.



Top 3 Requirements:

• Over 10 years of experience as a Solutions Architect, particularly with Cloud Platforms like AWS or Azure.


• Proficiency in Data Engineering, ETL, and Data Storage.


• Familiarity with Databricks and/or AI Projects is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• 
  Solution Design and Architecture: Create holistic solution architectures using Databricks and cloud technologies to fulfill business objectives and project needs.


• 
  Data Engineering and ETL: Design and enhance data pipelines, ETL workflows, and data storage solutions utilizing Databricks and cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.


• 
  Performance Optimization: Supervise and enhance the performance of data processing tasks, databases, and infrastructure within the Databricks platform.


• 
  Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and cloud architects to integrate Databricks solutions into the wider cloud environment seamlessly.


• 
  Security and Compliance: Enforce security best practices and comply with industry standards and regulations, including data encryption, access control, and audit logging.


• 
  Troubleshooting and Support: Identify and resolve issues related to data processing, analytics, and cloud infrastructure within the Databricks environment.


• 
  Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of solution architectures, designs, and configurations for reference and team collaboration.


• 
  Innovation and Best Practices: Keep abreast of the latest trends and technologies in Databricks, cloud computing, and data engineering. Continually enhance existing solutions and explore innovative approaches.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.


• Proven experience as a Solutions Architect or similar role, preferred experience focusing on Databricks and cloud computing projects.


• In-depth understanding of Databricks, including its data engineering, data science, and machine learning capabilities.


• Expertise in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their services such as data storage, compute, and networking.


• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, Scala, and SQL for data processing and analysis. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.


• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.


• Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Databricks certifications) are a plus.
