Accounts Payable Processor at IAP Worldwide Services in Cape Canaveral, Florida

Job Description:

As the Accounts Payable Processor I , you will be responsible for daily activities such as filing, entering vouchers, paying invoices through ACH, Checks and Wires.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Review check batches
• Validate vendor information
• Understand Open Items Report
• Follow up on open invoices and POs
• Actively involved in three way match and reconciliations
• Ability to process ACHs and Wires
• Ability to learn the Cost Point database and company structure in a timely manner
• Filing of all vendor activities (new files, paid invoices and POs)
• Audit Manual checks, voids, wires and ACHs
• Control check log and check stock
• Research incomplete Invoices, POs and Vendor data
• Generate reports essential for successful year- end
• Assist in Month End and Year End close
• Ability to prepare and generate 1099s
• Keep updated on AP changes and improvements
• Willing to learn Maximo data entry and importing

• High School Diploma or GED
• AA/AS degree with major in Accounting is desired.
• Two years' experience in general accounting, preferably in an Accounts Payable environment.

• Basic proficiency in WORD and EXCEL, 10 Key Calculator, Outlook
• must possess analytical, research and Customer Service skills.
