ETQ Quality Systems Data Steward at PPG INDUSTRIES INC in Sylmar, California

Job Description:

As the ETQ Data Steward you will develop, plan, and manage implementation of activities for ETQ for internal customers and suppliers. You will support the global deployment and implementation of the software within the Aerospace Segment. This is a remote position. You will report to the Global Quality Systems Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

• Administration of the system by supporting data collection and migration, integration, and deployment of current process/tools in PPG into ETQ, grant permissions and access, troubleshooting and continuously improve the tool to meet internal and external requirements.


• Provide technical support and training to end users once deployed. Create knowledge articles and training materials.


• Drive proper use of change management within the organization from current state to future state ETQ.


• Responsible for primary master data entry and maintenance within ETQ for the Aerospace Segment able to assist with global information


• Responsible to keep ETQ and associated systems in sync with legacy PPG systems with will phase out.


• Coordinate data collection and upload into the ETQ system for groups, lists, and required information in the system


• Assist in the creation of user acceptance test scripts and update on the ETQ SharePoint site.


• Develop, enhance, and utilize passive data governance tools to facilitate data cleansing for improved data integrity.


• Support implementation of the ETQ Quality System
  
  
  

• Bachelor's degree in science or business (Chemistry, Material Science or Equivalent).


• US Citizen


• Ability to travel up to 20%


• 1+ years of experience with data management

  Base Salary range $80,000-$90,000 plus annual bonus
