Overview

The Customer Service Representative in the Banker Service Center is responsible for assisting the BSC Department with administrative responsibilities, personalized support in all phases of customer service, account opening, client relationship building, digital banking portfolio, account maintenance and other tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities

This position provides support to all areas of the Bank. The position is also responsible for assisting customers via telephone, e-mail or any other touch point, and must be connected to Ocean Bank's phone system during scheduled hours. This position will provide support to the branches by processing cross applications, inputting wire transfers, preparing CD reinvestments, closing or doing partial CD withdrawals. This position is responsible for understanding and adhering to all operational/BSA related controls to ensure the safety and security of our customers and bank assets; completes required regulatory and compliance training in a timely manner. Additionally, this position will assist BSC Officers as needed and complete projects and tasks as assigned by the BSC Officers and BSC Supervisor.

Qualifications


  • High school diploma or equivalent and two (2) to four (4) years of banking experience, general office, secretarial, administrative or related financial customer service experience in a financial institution; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Must be self-motivated and detail oriented; must be able to multitask and prioritize work in fast paced environment; must be able to work in a team environment.

  • Must be able to work independently and manage time and tasks wisely.

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule based on department needs.

  • Must be able to master the ability to handle confidential information.

  • Must be able to understand and implement job related policies and procedures.

  • Must possess good verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal and organizational skills.

  • Computer knowledgeable in MS Office Software, (Excel, Word, and Outlook, Power Point).
