Lead Systems Administrator at Beacon Hill Staffing Group, LLC in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Systems Engineer to oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of our enterprise systems infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in system administration, configuration management, and automation, with a strong background in PowerShell scripting, group policy management, SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager), and enterprise-level environments.

1. Design, implement, and maintain systems infrastructure components including servers, virtualization platforms, storage systems, and networking devices.


2. Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts and automation workflows to automate routine tasks, streamline system deployments, and improve operational efficiency.


3. Manage group policies across Windows domains to enforce security policies, configure user and computer settings, and ensure compliance with organizational standards.


4. Configure and manage SCCM for software distribution, patch management, and system deployment across the enterprise.


5. Implement and maintain configuration management tools and practices to ensure consistency, reliability, and scalability of our systems environment.


6. Monitor systems performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to optimize performance and reliability.


7. Lead initiatives to enhance systems security, including vulnerability management, endpoint protection, and access control.


8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement projects that meet business needs and objectives.


9. Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and training to junior team members, fostering their professional growth and development.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.


2. Proven experience as a Systems Engineer in an enterprise environment, with at least 5 years of experience in a lead or senior position.


3. Strong proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation, configuration management, and system administration tasks.


4. Expertise in group policy management, including the design, implementation, and troubleshooting of group policies across Windows domains.


5. In-depth knowledge of SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager) for software deployment, patch management, and system imaging.


6. Experience with enterprise-level systems administration, including Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and file services.


7. Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere or Microsoft Hyper-V.


8. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive projects to completion.
