Description:

Overview:

As a Senior Network Engineer at IMSG, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our complex network infrastructure. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, troubleshoot intricate network issues, and drive continuous improvements to ensure optimal performance, security, and scalability.

Responsibilities:

1. Network Architecture and Design:

• Develop and enhance network architecture, considering scalability, redundancy, and security.
• Design and implement high-availability solutions for critical network components.

1. Network Implementation and Maintenance:

• Deploy and configure network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and VPN gateways.
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize network configurations.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.

1. Security and Compliance:

• Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and access controls.
• Collaborate with the security team to address vulnerabilities and mitigate risks.
• Stay up-to-date with security threats and recommend proactive measures.

1. Network Troubleshooting and Support:

• Investigate and resolve complex network incidents, minimizing downtime.
• Provide tier-3 support for network-related issues.
• Participate in on-call rotation for critical incidents.

1. Capacity Planning and Performance Optimization:

• Monitor network capacity and plan for future growth.
• Optimize network performance by analyzing traffic patterns and adjusting configurations.

1. Collaboration and Documentation:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams (systems, applications, security) to ensure seamless integration.
• Document network designs, configurations, and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master's preferred).
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on large-scale enterprise networks.
• Certifications: CCIE, CCNP, or equivalent certifications preferred.
• Proficiency in routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, etc.).
• Experience with network virtualization (SDN, NFV) and cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
