Department Summary


By choosing music education as your major, you will be prepared for a career as a professional music teacher. UNT's music education degree program leads to Texas teacher certification in all-level music, opening an array of employment options. Position Overview


The Department of Music Education seeks qualified individuals for its Adjunct Instructor pool and welcomes applicants at any time. This posting is for the Fall 2024, Spring 2025 and Summer 2025, semesters. The specific courses involved may carry from semester to semester and openings to teach these courses develop on a periodic basis, depending on department teaching needs.
The anticipated need is for adjunct instructor(s) who can serve as the Coordinator of Brass and/or Woodwind methods courses.




Minimum Qualifications


* A master's degree in the discipline or a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours directly related to the assigned courses(s).
* Successful classroom teaching experience on woodwind and/or brass instruments. Strong pedagogical knowledge of all woodwind and/or brass instruments.



Preferred Qualifications


Terminal degree in discipline is preferred.
