(Contingent upon available funding):48,000.00 - 66,000.00, Salary Work Schedule:Work schedule to be determined by supervisor. Some overnight and weekend travel is required. Faculty Appt Period: Job Summary:About Us:The OSU Rodeo Team was present at the very first meeting that formed the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association (NIRA) in 1948 and has been a member ever since. NIRA is divided into 11 regions with over 135 colleges and universities having a recognized rodeo organization on their campus. The OSU Rodeo Team is a member of the Central Plains Region which includes schools (both 2-year and 4-year schools) and competitors from Kansas and Oklahoma. The OSU Rodeo program hosts and produces the annual Cowboy Stampede Rodeo as part of the Central Plans Region competitive rodeo schedule.


The OSU Rodeo program is a club sport. The program and its related facilities are administered through the Ferguson College of Agriculture, reporting to the Associate Dean. Facilities include a covered arena, an outdoor arena and calf lane, stalls for competing students, turnouts, and a classroom located on the rodeo program grounds.

Our team members are routinely recognized as Dean and President's Honor Roll recipients, top freshmen and senior award recipients, research scholars and NIRA Scholar-Americans. For more information, visit: https://agriculture.okstate.edu/rodeo/Position Details:The Oklahoma State University Assistant Rodeo Coach will assist the Rodeo Program Coordinator and Head Coach in all aspects of coaching the OSU Rodeo Team including providing quality coaching and instruction to students participating in the college rodeo program; recruiting students for the program; coordinating rodeo events; engaging in fundraising and community outreach; maintaining animal and arena care; and promoting academic excellence and holistic student development. Required: 
Bachelor's degree
Competitive Rodeo experience and knowledge of Rodeo events and disciplines
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office


Preferred:
Previous coaching experience
Knowledge of NIRA rules and regulations;
Previous experience in rodeo event production
Experience with managing livestock (primarily cattle and horses).
Understanding of basic social media platforms such Facebook and Instagram
