Summary: We are seeking a skilled Set Up Press Brake Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in setting up and operating press brake machinery in a manufacturing environment. The role involves interpreting blueprints, adjusting machine settings, and ensuring the accurate production of metal components according to specifications.
Responsibilities:
Set up and operate press brake machinery to bend, shape, and form metal plates and sheets.
Interpret engineering blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine setup procedures and requirements.
Select and install appropriate tooling, dies, and fixtures based on job specifications.
Adjust machine settings such as speed, stroke, and pressure to achieve desired results.
Inspect workpieces to ensure they meet quality standards and dimensional requirements.
Perform routine maintenance tasks on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
Troubleshoot issues with equipment and make necessary adjustments or repairs.
Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.
Maintain accurate records of production activities, including setup times, materials used, and job completions.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a press brake operator in a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in interpreting blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
Ability to set up and operate press brake machinery independently.
Strong mathematical skills and ability to perform basic calculations.
Knowledge of different types of metals and their properties.
Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot machinery issues.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification is a plus.
