Responsibilities

The Intern, Marketing will dive into the dynamic world of marketing development. This role is ideal for students entering their junior or senior year, majoring in Marketing/Advertising, Visual Communications/Design, or Public Relations. The Intern, Marketing will gain hands-on experience in a variety of marketing tasks, contributing to both internal and external projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Help manage social media platforms; create engaging content, monitor effectiveness, and continuously provide strategic recommendations.
  • Assist with design projects either in-house or in collaboration with our advertising agency. Package files for Prepress.
  • Support the planning and execution of company events and activities.
  • Enhance the Brand Guidelines with new images and information on safety, signage, and social media.
  • Assist with revising and updating marketing materials including product sell sheets, flyers, and create DIY templates in Canva.
  • Develop a comprehensive kit for our Top 5 products, encompassing current data and new asset creation.
  • Help plan and schedule social media posts for September through Q1 2025, including specialized posts for our Top 5 product lines.
  • Help design artwork and logos, completing up to 90% of required materials before the event.
  • Develop creative concepts for Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year celebrations.
  • Research a system to manage photos, artwork assets, and vendor site access within our current environment.
  • Enhance SEO for the company website and create landing pages for new products and promotions.
  • Comply with company C-TPAT and TSA security procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Minimum of a High School Diploma (or equivalent) and a minimum 2 years’ experience in Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator preferred. Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing/Advertising, Visual Communications/Design, or Public Relations, preferably entering junior or senior year. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Curious, fast-learning, and resourceful
  • Strong creative and analytical skills.
  • Basic knowledge of marketing principles.
  • Graphic design experience preferred.
  • Skilled in the fundamentals of typography, layout and composition.
  • Familiarity with print concepts and practices.
  • Knowledge of Google Ads, Google Analytics, SEO or willingness to learn
  • Prior knowledge of video editing software a plus.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  • Experience with social media platforms and content creation.
  • Familiarity with design software and content management systems is a plus.
  • Excellent PowerPoint, Word, Excel skills
  • Ability to read and interpret general business documents. Ability to write routine reports and general business correspondence. Ability to work with peers and communicate basic concepts.
  • Ability to solve practical problems through standardized solutions that require limited judgment. Ability to follow prescribed and detailed procedures to solve routine problems.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
