Fuel System Design Engineer needed for a dynamic engineering team who is looking to disrupt the aviation industry.
This is a direct placement opportunity in Long Beach, CA.
The ideal candidate will have experiencedesigning fuel systems, hydraulic systems, or other critical aircraft assemblies.
As a Fuel System Design Engineer you will:
Design and develop a Fuel System using Model Based Definition (MBD) principles and tools
Establish and maintain the digital environment ensuring the accuracy and consistency of product data throughout the product lifecycle using Siemens NX and Teamcenter PDM
Design Fuel System tubing and supports for performance and producibility as you generate, review, and/or approve:
Design engineering processes, standards, and manuals/guides
Engineering drawings, schematics, and design specifications
3-D models, component drawings, assembly drawings, and interface control documents with application of GD&T per ASME Y14.5
Equipment test plans and reports
Compliance and program documentation
Conduct multi-disciplinary design reviews and coordination internally with other systems/structure owners, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality throughout the phases of development, certification, and production readiness
Various project management tasks as required
The ideal candidate will have:
Experience with in-house design and manufactured parts
Detailed understanding of civil aviation standards and practices
Understanding of basic Thermo/Fluid Dynamics
Understanding of material selection and basic stress principles
Excellent verbal and written interpersonal communication
Engineering degree from an accredited university, and fuel system experience with related software tools are preferred.
Must have mechanical design experience using solid modeling CAD design. Siemens NX is a plus!
Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
Fuel system design experience is preferred.

Salary Range: $100,000 - $150,000 *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
