Volt is immediately hiring for Fabrication Technicians in Smyrna TN!

As a Fabrication Technician you will:


• Set-up and operate various machines including Brakes, Amada, Shear and Whitney
• Accurately use tape and measuring devices, including calipers
• Consistently produce quality work while maintaining maximum output
• Ability to read and understand written material including production, inspection, standard practice bulletins, BOM's, blue prints, tapes, and measurements
• Ability to read wiring, layout, and schematic diagrams
• Ability to move or lift objects routinely weighing up to 40 pounds
• Ability to move or lift objects with both hands while bending or stooping on a continual basis throughout an 8-hour day
• Ability to walk and stand for 8 hours
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, as well as the ability to compute ratios and percentages.
• Must be able to train on 1st and 2nd shifts
• All applicants who have not previously held the fabrication classification must take a written test and score at least 70% in order to be considered for this role.

We are looking for experience in Punch press machines, stamping machines, welding, reading blue prints among others skills.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, squat, reach to or below shoulder level, lift, carry, push, pull, and use hands to handle and feel. The employee is frequently required to climb and reach above shoulder level. The employee is regularly required to lift/carry up to 40 pounds. The employee is frequently required to push/pull up to 40 pounds. The employee is occasionally required to push/pull greater than 40 pounds with assistance. Employee is frequently required to use hand tools such as: manual, battery, and pneumatic ( air) with varying degrees of force and vibration.


Pay is starting at $28 plus based off of qualifications and experience.
