VOLT is immediately hiring for an experienced Assembler II with overhead crane experience in NW Houston, TX.
As an Assembler II you will:
Perform activities in assembly functions
Perform assembly and material movement functions
Follow production schedules & communicates with supervisor
Receive instructions from production supervisor and from operations on production plan
Fit, align, calibrate and adjust parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product operating requirements; repairing units or products that have failed to meet requirements
Perform inventory control and cycle counts
Perform other duties and/or completes training as required by Supervisor
This is a full time opportunity.
1st Shift: 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM with a 30 minute lunch. Overtime available.
The ideal candidate will have:
2+ years of assembly experience required
Experience operating overhead crane required
Ability to lift 35-50 lbs. frequently (oversized material) required
Experience using hand tools required
Ability to read, write, and speak English
High school diploma or GED
Previous experience in a manufacturing operations environment
Ability to stand for prolonged periods, bend, lift and/or move materials
Valve assembly-mechanical experience
Steel Toe Shoes or Boots
Ability to work in Non Climate Controlled Environment
Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour
