Summary of Position: As a College Coach you’ll be responsible for supporting families as they navigate the college application process through The Princeton Review’s College Admissions Counseling (CAC) program. You will develop and maintain relationships with students and their families, and lead them in improving their understanding of college admissions processes toward their ultimate goal of maximizing the success of students’ applications. For each student and family you support, you will work in tandem with a College Counselor who will provide high level strategic advice on the student’s admissions prospects.


Major Responsibilities:



  • Serve as point of contact for students and families; address their questions and concerns regarding the program and admissions topics 

  • Onboard students and families to the program 

  • Conduct virtual meetings with students and families  

  • Collaborate with College Counselor to build an appropriate college list for each student and advise students on college research tools 

  • Monitor student progress, including checking in with students and families to ensure they are on track to meet deadlines 

  •  Provide reviews of student essays and applications

  • Maintain a working knowledge of the college admissions process

  • Contribute to growth and development of the CAC programs by participating in strategic planning, training, product development, etc. 


Education, Background, Experience & Qualifications:



  •  Bachelor’s Degree preferred

  • Experience working with high school students and families in an educational context; college admissions or counseling experience(preferred)

  • Strong written and oral communication skillset, and an ability to deliver compelling presentations (both online and in-person) to a variety of internal and external audiences

  • Ability to work in a remote/distributed environment.

  • Flexibility with work schedule in response to the cyclical nature of the college admissions process and the availability of our students 

  • Availability to meet with students in the evenings and on occasional weekends

  • Flexible using and learning new software and providing user experience feedback


  • Customer service experience(preferred)


Salary: $50,000-$60,000 per year, based on a 40 hour work week.
