Our West Des Moines office is looking for an experienced Audit Manager to lead and manage multiple operations of the assurance practice area. This position is to deliver quality assurance services and serve as business advisor to our clients.
Responsibilities • Coordinate, organize and lead assurance engagements • Consult with business clients to aid in their profitability and growth • Oversee finalization and issuance of financial reports • Assess internal controls, identify and mitigate audit risks • Oversee staff, assess their performance and provide feedback • Improve processes by developing or implementing best practices
Qualifications • Proven work experience as an audit manager • Strong knowledge of GAAP and GAAS • Knowledge of CCH ProSystem's Engagement software • Ability to maintain and develop client relationships through planning and communication • Drive to grow professionally and with the firm • Strong leadership and personnel management skills • Communication and leadership skills to train and lead staff • BA in Accounting and hold an active CPA license • 5+ years of experience in public accounting assurance work
