Job Description:

Duties:
  • Assess risks associated with NOA Architecture development and implementation, both external and internal, during the RDT&E phase of the acquisition life cycle.
  • Identify risks linked to the development and implementation of System-of-Systems (SoS) interface management control processes and products, including documentation of interface standards, parameters, and agreements, in the RDT&E phase of the acquisition life cycle.
  • Validate data and create technical drawings documenting IT architectures and related specifications for various platforms, including afloat, ashore, and aloft platforms, and develop interface agreements and physical and logical SoS architectures during the RDT&E phase of the acquisition life cycle.
  • Provide technical support for developing enterprise architecture to facilitate Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) to the NOA Chief Engineer, including designing data structures supporting Systems Modeling Language (SysML) and integrating with current data models and tools.
  • Monitor and track established SoS interface management control processes and products to document interface standards, parameters, and agreements.
  • Update existing technical drawings documenting IT architectures and specifications for various platforms.
  • Manage operations and maintenance of Systems Engineering Technical Management processes across all NOA programs and projects.
  • Oversee system operations, administration, integration, and data transfer for modeling and simulation tools, architecture tools, and data repositories within the Naval Integrated Modeling Environment (IME).
  • Evaluate implementation of cybersecurity requirements throughout the acquisition lifecycle, providing recommendations on risks and mitigations for Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), both internal and external to NAVWAR.
  • Develop a roadmap for Science and Technology (S&T) initiatives, forecasting NOA systems and capabilities for integration into the Navy's Enterprise Architecture (EA), including Target Architecture.
  • Ensure alignment of S&T initiatives and forecasting with Government, industry, and academic development activities.
  • Provide technical input and reviews for technical documents, conduct market and publication research, and produce S&T Roadmap artifacts.
  • Attend meetings as needed, offering technical analysis of meetings and documents to support S&T Roadmap requirements, analysis, and integration with NOA development activities.
  • Provide input in the review and analysis of Acquisition Engineering documentation for programs in the RDT&E lifecycle, including DoDAF documents, Symantec Endpoint Protections, System Design Specifications, Human System Integration requirements, and plans.

Requirements

Qualifications:
  • An active TS/SCI clearance is required to be considered for this position.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in an engineering discipline is required.
  • At least three (3) years of experience providing systems engineering support to a Navy program office supporting network integration activities.

Salary at Highbury Defense is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements This is a contingent position expected to be in San Diego, CA. The pay range for the position will be provided at the time the position is no longer contingent.
