Westminster College is seeking a passionate and experienced individual to serve as the Cheerleading Advisor for our collegiate cheerleading program. The Cheerleading Advisor will play a pivotal role in providing leadership, guidance, and support to our cheerleading squad, fostering a positive and inclusive team culture, and promoting school spirit and pride. This is a part-time position that reports to the Director of Athletics.

Responsibilities Include:
Leadership and Mentorship - Provide effective leadership and mentorship to the cheerleading squad
members, fostering personal growth, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Serve as a positive role model and
advocate for the overall well-being of the student-athletes, promoting academic success, and personal
development.
Program Development - Develop and implement a comprehensive cheerleading program that aligns
with the mission and values of Westminster College. Collaborate with the Director of Athletics and
other college stakeholders to establish program goals, policies, fundraising initiatives and procedures.
Training and Skill Development - Oversee regular practices, training sessions, and ill-building workshops
to enhance the technical proficiency and performance quality of the cheerleading squad. Oversee
instruction or resources to various cheerleading techniques, including stunts, tumbling, jumps, and
dance routines.
Event Coordination - Oversee the coordination and choreograph cheerleading routines for college
athletic events, including football, basketball, and other sporting competitions. Attend and support
athletic events as required.
Compliance and Safety - Ensure compliance with all College policies, as well as rules and regulations
established by relevant athletic associations (PAC and NCAA). Prioritize the safety and well-being of
cheerleading squad members, implementing appropriate risk management protocols and safety

Community Engagement - Cultivate positive relationships with alumni, parents, fans, and supporters of
the cheerleading program, fostering a sense of community and engagement.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a cheerleading coach or advisor at the collegiate level preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with
diverse stakeholders.
Demonstrated expertise in cheerleading techniques, choreography, and performance
management.
Commitment to upholding the values of sportsmanship, integrity, and inclusivity within the
cheerleading program.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and irregular hours as required by the demands of the
position.
