Job Description:

Program Associate, Family and Youth Financial Stability

The Annie E. Casey Foundation is devoted to developing a brighter future for millions of children and young people with respect to their educational, economic, social and health outcomes. The Foundation's work focuses on strengthening families, building stronger communities and ensuring access to opportunity, because children, youth and young adults need all three to succeed. Casey advances research and solutions to overcome the barriers to success, help communities demonstrate what works and influence decision makers to invest in strategies based on solid evidence.

At Casey, you will find a dynamic environment with staff of diverse backgrounds and perspectives who share a deep commitment to advancing the Foundation's mission. Casey staff also have flexible schedules, including a hybrid workweek, to support healthy work/life balance.

The Foundation is seeking a program associate to work with the senior program officer and the director of Casey's Family and Youth Financial Stability, as well as other staff. The program associate helps develop, assess, report on and advance the goals of the Foundation's financial stability and assets portfolio and cross-cutting initiatives. This work includes contributing to the design and strategic planning of investment strategies; helping senior staff, partners and grantees advance policy and practice improvements that benefit low-income families; working with internal and external partners to assist in analyzing and disaggregating population and performance data; reporting on results and presenting the work of key initiatives and grantees; and identifying areas in need of capacity building and innovation.

Qualified candidates will have the following:

  • At a minimum, a bachelor's degree in public policy, human services, business, education, economics, or related field. A graduate degree is preferred (e.g., a law degree or master's in public administration, public health, social work or business administration)
  • A minimum of three years of experience with community-based, government, research, policy or advocacy organizations focused on human services, economic security, financial services, postsecondary education, or workforce, economic or community development.
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and working effectively with people from diverse cultural, social and ethnic backgrounds, including youth and young adults

If you are interested in applying for this position, please submit a resume and cover letter detailing how your background and experience make you a good candidate for this role. Resumes submitted without cover letters will not be considered. Read the full job description and apply online at www.aecf.org/about/jobs.
