Job Description:

Availability:Monday-Friday; Must be available for shifts from 6:30am-9:00/9:15am and/or 2:00/3:00pm-6:30pm (varies by program). (Afternoon times may vary by early release days.)

Position Summary:
Provide direct supervision of a group of children in a safe, enjoyable, positive and inclusive environment.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Supervise all children and activities within the program areaImplement daily lesson and activity plansComply with state and local regulations as well as YMCA standards and proceduresAdhere to program standards including safety and cleanliness standardsAttend and participate in family events, program activities, and staff meetings as directedFollow YMCA policies and procedures, including those related to medical and disciplinary situations, child abuse prevention and emergenciesMaintain positive relations with participants, parents and other staffPerform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
Minimum age 18Meet educational and experience qualifications established by Dept of Children, Youth, & Families (DCYF)Provide document of all certification and training requirements established by DCYF, including position prerequisites, current negative TB test, and portable background checkFluency in second language desired
