Project Details:
Our Client is looking for a seasoned IT Infrastructure Project Manager to join the team and support the data center migration/consolidation projects for both North America and the UK. This person will be expected to be hands on with this project, helping analyze the data center infrastructure, monitoring business applications, as well as developing migration plans for execution. When leading the project from beginning to end, the project manager will be planning and scheduling equipment maintenance, allocating resources for tasks, creating budget, as well as communicating with the key business stakeholders to ensure business requirements and goals are being met.
Must Have:
Managed large datacenter / cloud migrations
Migration of all bare-metal servers, storage and network equipment.
Migration of all virtual Windows and Linux machines.
Migration of all databases, storage and appliances.
Management of all network segmentation, re-IP'ing and DNS.
Application test planning, test cases and testing with owners.
Application refactoring for all applications moving to AWS and Azure.
ENTERPRISE level experience with data center migrations and consolidations
Additional Requirements:
10+ years of Infrastructure Project Management experience
Strong project management and organizational skills

Coordination skills
Able to execute change control, quality, risk management and communications throughout the project
Has utilized infrastructure management tools
Must have worked or supported projects within an enterprise level company
Experience with analyzing data center infrastructure, creating development migration plans, overseeing the migration events, and providing technical guidance (server and network installation), as well as hands-on troubleshooting as needed
Strong communication & problem solving skills
Proactive in seeking information and challenging the norms, driving efficiency
Takes accountability for issues/problems, effectively assessing situations and providing solutions
Collaborate and lead discussions with various stakeholders and teams

Day To Day:
Directs and leads the delivery of highly complex IT applications and systems, which includes leadership of multiple dependent projects across multiple functional areas and technology platforms
Responsible for project oversight, including planning, directing, and managing cross-functional team members
Develops program-level vision, strategy, approach, and implementation plans required to achieve necessary business outcomes
Identifies, tracks and manages project/program level risks and issues. Serves as escalation point to resolve project/program issues, remove roadblocks, formulate contingency plans and communicate status to programs executive leadership team.
Functions as central point of project/program communication and status for project/program team members, stakeholders, management and executives. Communications are professional, timely, and clear and present the correct level of information based on audience
Partner with internal customers and other technology personnel to define objectives, scope, budget, resource needs and success criteria associated with proposed and approved projects
Build relationships and collaborate cross-functionally to lead project delivery teams towards successful project outcomes
Provide monthly project status for approved projects
Tracks and manages all financial aspects of the project; burn rates, actuals, Gate submissions, procurement and PO processes needed to maintain financial visibility
Directs the application of various technical disciplines such as process improvement, data analysis, architectural review, quality assurance and facilitation.
