SUMMARY

Assist the Manufacturing Engineering team by using critical thinking and problem solving skills while developing manufacturing process knowledge and industry experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

• Perform Time Studies


• Provide Tooling/Fixture Design Assistance


• Aid the Manufacturing Engineering group with basic process analysis/improvements


• Assist in design/fabrication of fixtures/tools utilizing 3D Printing


• Provide input on creative ways to reduce costs by streamlining processes and systems.


• Encourage open communication and exchange of information within the M.E. department and between the various support groups.


• Assist the Manufacturing Engineering group as required.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Enrolled or completed a four-year Bachelor’s of Science program in an engineering/technical field of study.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.  Ability to effectively communicate ideas and foster positive discussion when dealing with various levels of fluency.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  Individual may be required to sit, stand or walk regularly and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs., to be accessible to production floor, attendance at meetings with indirect and direct team members, supervisors, management and customers.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.  Individual’s primary workstation is located in the office area, with some time spent each day on the manufacturing floor.  The noise level in the work environment ranges from low to moderate.
