Job Description:

LHH is working with a prominent company in the Bloomington, IN area with a Finance Manager position. The primary focus of the Finance Manageris to support operations on a day-to-day basis. This person will be heavily involved in reviewing CapEx proposals, analyzing profitability, analyzing pricing and cost reduction projects, reviewing spend, and will assist the U.S. Controller with many ad-hoc projects and deliverables that will occur at any given time. This person will need to help drive the vision of the Operations Manager, and the organization as a whole.

This position pays $100K-110K base + bonus.

Responsibilities:
  • Enforce compliance with all U.S. GAAP, policies and procedures
  • Be able to explain results for P&L and Balance Sheet
  • Oversee month end close process for location, ensuring all journal entries and account reconciliations are completed timely, and accurately
  • Support U.S. Controller in various initiatives, and key tasks and deliverables
  • Act as business partner, sounding board, and resource to Operation Manager, and other location leadership team members
  • Act as finance liaison for profitability/cost/pricing projects and analysis, growth project analysis, CapEx analysis, and any other ad-hoc projects
  • Be willing to challenge colleagues and team members as needed, challenge status quo, play devil's advocate when appropriate, and generally help keep the location focused on growth, improving profitability, and improving Working Capital
  • Support process improvement efforts to improve efficiency and effectiveness of department and location as a whole
  • Be able to simplify financial information and results, and direct key team members to pertinent facts that can help drive improvement actions
  • Be the "gatekeeper" for financial data at the location
  • Review financial systems and processes, and where necessary, drive changes and training of key individuals
  • Assist in annual budget process, and own monthly forecast process
  • Oversee annual Standard Cost roll process, and any variances or deviations that occur throughout the year
  • Own annual Physical Inventory process

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. Advanced degree or certifications are a plus.

Experience: Minimum of 6 years of work experience in accounting and financial roles within the manufacturing industry is necessary. Thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP is mandatory. Strong computer skills, including enhanced knowledge of Excel, is mandatory. QAD ERP (or other similar ERP systems), Oracle Hyperion Financial Manager (HFM), Access and SQL experience is a plus. Alteryx, PowerBI, and CyberQuery experience is a major plus. Project management experience is a plus.
