*This is a hybrid role with three weeks per month onsite (Mon – Thurs).
The Financial Analyst position as Lands’ End demands a level of both technical competency and interpersonal skills. A successful individual in this role will provide analysis, assimilate data effectively and partner with the business operational team to offer pragmatic financial solutions to various business issues. Financial analysis responsibilities include financial reporting, budget and forecast analysis, and divisional operations analysis.
Responsibilities
Provide variance analysis and determine cause of change. Scope includes the P&L, monthly actuals, plan and forecast and monthly reporting and analysis, monthly actual package, monthly forecast package, overall monthly financial package, annual operating plan, strategic plan processes.
Secondary responsibility for balance sheet and cash flows.
Coordinate with internal business partners and finance teams in the preparation, implementation, and compliance of management reporting & analysis requirements.
Contribute to enhancements in financial reporting and analysis as well as requisite system requirements.
Provide ad hoc analytical support and perform special projects as needed.
Support sales with analysis of proposed go-to-market terms and/or programs with customers, to include pricing.
Understand the impacts of working in an international and/or global environment
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in related area (Accounting, Finance, Business, etc.)
Relevant experience in positions that require analysis, including internships
Experience performing financial and ad hoc analysis using Excel
Proficiency in Excel (basic functions i.e., sum, if, pivots, lookups)
Demonstrated financial and/or analytical experience including familiarity with concepts of forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and/or data interpretation and analysis
Solid experience demonstrating problem solving and root cause analysis
Strong analytical skills and ability to influence
Excellent attention to detail and an aptitude in financial analysis
Ability to meet tight deadlines, prioritize workload; effective multi-tasking skills are vital
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint
Knowledge of Manufacturing, Distribution Center or Logistics processes and systems a plus
Ability to adhere to Lands’ End Attendance expectations.
