Plans facilities changes for plant, office, and production equipment layouts, working toward economy of operation, maximum use of facilities and equipment, and compliance with laws and regulations. Coordinates with architecture/engineering firms in developing design criteria and preparing layout and detail drawings. Prepares bid sheets and contracts for construction and facilities acquisition. Reviews and estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation and other related costs. Inspects construction and installation progress for conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules. Develops criteria and performance specifications required to meet unique operating requirements and building and safety codes.

Responsibilities:


  • Help lead Equipment Life Cycle Asset Management (LCAM) program

  • Assist in developing capacity studies for future projects

  • Responsible for Electrical System Health (IR Scan, Arc Flash, Electrical Maintenance)

  • Corporate Social Responsibility Representative

  • Manage Engineering drawings and document program

  • Perform Engineering drawing reviews and approvals

  • Assist with the facility equipment maintenance strategy for Operations

  • Manage and develop CMMS Master Data

  • Responsible for Facilities Calibration and Validation program

  • Work cross functionally with R&D, Manufacturing and Quality to develop processes for new products and improve processes of existing products

  • Lead continuous improvement and sustaining efforts for products and processes in support of cost and performance objectives

  • Maintains a productive cross-site and cross-functional relationship between manufacturing sites

Requirements:


  • Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 3 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience.

  • Work experience in the biotech or semiconductor industries is desirable

  • Professional Engineer P.E. is highly desirable

  • Experience working in an ISO13485 or FDA certified environment is desirable

  • Experience in production support and/or process development is required

  • Experience with product development processes and project management skills is desirable

  • Good interdepartmental communication, influence and documentation skills are required

  • Demonstrated ability to accomplish goals while working across departments is required

The estimated base salary range for the Senior Facilities Engineer role based in the United States of America is: $101,000 - $151,600. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable base pay range may be updated accordingly. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual's qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
