Georgia Pacific's Consumer Products Group is seeking candidates for a HVAC Maintenance opportunity supporting our Muskogee, OK Tissue, Towel, and Napkin Mill. The HVAC Maintenance Technician role is an experienced skilled crafts position that creates value by understanding Mechanical refrigerant systems, Chilled water systems and basic electrical controls. This individual will work with supervisors, mentors, coworkers, and others to gain knowledge and skills in our manufacturing environment and to ensure that the HVAC maintenance needs of the mill can be met. The shift for the position is Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 3:00 pm. The pay scale for the position is $26.00 - $37.64.
Our Team
Located on the Kerr-McClellan Navigational Channel (Arkansas River) on about 640 acres of land, the Muskogee consumer products operation spans across approximately 70 acres (or 2,900,000 square feet) of manufacturing and warehouse space are "under roof" employing approximately 830 employees. We are the second largest employer in the Muskogee, OK area and 45 th in the state! Our non-union facility operates on 12-hour shifts, 7 days per week, 365 days per year; housing 2 of the 13 largest tissue machines in the world and paper machines that produce an average of 900 tons of paper per day. Our converting team has the largest population of employees at 340; producing approximately 100,000 cases per day and more than 2.4 million finished product cases that are loaded and shipped from this mill each month. Our finished product consists of a mix of 40% Retail and 60% Commercial.
What You Will Do
Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures
Complete required hours (classroom and on the job training) in HVAC Maintenance Training Program
Troubleshoot and Maintain DX and chilled water systems to maintain expected equipment performance
Troubleshoot and maintain associated electrical circuits for HVAC systems and MCC's
Inspect HVAC Equipment to identify issues or reliability gaps
Participate in preventative maintenance strategies to ensure equipment is maintained reliably based on frequency or condition
Fabricate metal parts using blueprints and designs sketches to ensure proper dimensions and tolerance levels of finished product
Work with team members to complete mechanical rebuilds on equipment such as Pumps, A/C systems, fans, etc.
Recover refrigerant from A/C systems, and other refrigerant system components
Work with Coordinators and planners to plan, schedule, and execute work effectively and efficiently
Manage and complete work orders utilizing SAP
Read and interpret complex work instructions and documentation
Work in a hot, humid, cold, dusty, and noisy manufacturing environment
Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
High school diploma or GED
2+ year or more of manufacturing, industrial, construction, warehouse, agriculture, or industrial military experience
Hold an Unlimited Mechanical Journeyman license
Hold a Minimum Type I/Type II EPA Certification
What Will Put You Ahead
Associate degree in HVAC from a college-level technical institution
3+ years or more of experience in a HVAC maintenance role
NFPA 70E and ARC Flash Training
Experience through a HVAC apprenticeship or technical training program/internship
Experience using Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
Experience with maintenance parts, material, equipment and processes of product, and electrical equipment used in a manufacturing environment
