The Ramsey Canyon Preserve Manager develops, manages, and advances conservation programs, plans, and methods for TNC fee lands in the Upper San Pedro River Basin. Area of responsibility includes two preserves of small to medium size including Ramsey Canyon, and Canelo Hills Cienega Preserve, along with several other small isolated TNC properties in the region. This position will report to the Stewardship Program Manager, and is based at the Ramsey Canyon Preserve in Herford, Arizona. The position involves interactions with nearby agencies such as the USFS and the Ft. Huachuca Military Base and requires frequent interaction with visiting public.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Preserve Manager should live in or around Hereford, AZ (within 50 miles of the preserve), Working with the Stewardship Program Manager, the Ramsey Canyon Preserve Manager provides technical leadership and support to preserve staff and volunteers and plans and directs preserve management programs and stewardship. The preserve manager addresses critical threats to natural systems and individual species, fosters cross-site learning among conservation community, and supplies the Arizona Business Unit (AZBU) conservation and science programs with site or landscape level information. The preserve manager develops and implements conservation strategies and employs a full range of protection tools to acquire varying degrees of legal interest in land and implements a variety of strategies to secure public and private support for TNC conservation priorities. The preserve manager coordinates community support, ensures the maintenance of preserve areas frequented by the visiting public, is responsible for hydrological and fee land monitoring, and provides general support for the stewardship program and preserve system.

The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position is generally within the range of $48,600 - $56,800 for annual base salary. This range only applies to candidates whose country of employment is the USA. Where a successful candidate's actual pay will fall within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including, for example, the candidate's location, qualifications, specific skills, experience and internal equity. Please note countries outside the USA would have a different pay range in the local currency based on the local labor market, and not tied to USA pay or ranges.
