Job Description:

Lynden Incorporated is seeking a Technical Support Specialist to work as part of our SeaTac based team.  In this role, you will be the face of the Lynden IT department.  You will provide advanced troubleshooting and support for end-user hardware and software issues, including operating systems, office productivity software, email clients, and specialized applications.  This position is not safety sensitive.

What you will be doing:


  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for end-user hardware and software issues, including operating systems, office productivity software, email clients, and specialized applications.

  • Manage the setup, imaging, deployment, and maintenance of desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices.

  • Install, assemble, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network services as it relates to the desktops, servers, printers, cameras, and mobile computing environment.

  • Lift 25+ lbs. and work in tight spaces to change out workstations, monitors, run wiring, etc.

  • Prioritize and respond to incidents escalated from the Help Desk.

  • Perform computer diagnostics and repairs via phone, chat, remote control, or in person

  • Complete and maintain required documentation for hardware and software maintenance and troubleshooting activities.

  • Record and maintain company hardware and software asset information.

  • Consult with and make recommendations to end users on selection of hardware and software products to address business requirements.

  • Maintain current knowledge of desktop and mobile operating systems plus basic network technology.

  • What we need from you (minimum requirements):

  • 2 to 4 years’ related experience in a technical support role.

  • Valid driver’s license.

  • Must be eligible to apply and be issued a TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Credential).

Preference if you also have:


  • VMware Horizon virtual desktop infrastructure experience.

  • Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022 and/or Linux experience.

  • Industrial label printers and multifunction enterprise devices experience.

  • IP Camera infrastructure and video management systems experience.

  • CompTia A+, Network+ and/or Security+ certification

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from four-year College or technical school in relevant subject

Your work schedule: 


  • The work will be performed onsite at the corporate office and other service centers in the area.

  • Monday – Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm from the corporate office.

  • Every 6 weeks, 1 week at a service center working 8:00am to 4:30pm.

  • On call rotation:  1 week, every 3 months to support after hours and weekend calls.

  • Occasionally may be required to work hours outside the normal schedule.
