Company Overview
As a U.S. Department of Defense small business, RDA supports the U.S. Navy in its Anti-Submarine Warfare research and development activities. RDA provides critical expertise in research and development topics, data analysis, and flight test support. RDAs key product is LCAP, its Low-Cost Advanced Processor, used onboard the Navys P-8A Poseidon submarine-hunting aircraft. LCAP enables the Navy to quickly and efficiently develop its next generation of sonobuoys and signal processing and better leverage its advantage in undersea environments.

Description
RDA Inc. is looking for a candidate to provide engineering/technology development, design and integration support and test support services to customers such as PMA-264/NAWCAD 4.5.14/ONR/DARPA and NUWC, in the pursuit of achieving their program objectives. Tasks will include, but are not limited to, participation in Fleet ASW exercises and operations INCONUS/OCONUS with the P-8A, MV-22B aircraft or other platforms deemed necessary by the Navy or other sponsors.

As part of aircraft operations efforts, performing aircraft integration, configuration, and operation of the following systems is required:
Low-Cost Acoustic/Advanced Processor (LCAP)Radio Frequency Interference Collection System (RFICS)Tactical Datalinks (LOS and BLOS)Wideband and Narrowband Satcom TerminalsMobile Ad Hoc Networking (MANET) RadiosAdaptive Mesh Networks

Qualifications
The candidate should possess a current A+ System Administration certification or have ability to obtain it with 6 months of hire. Ability to generate and prepare briefing materials for design and system integration PMA reviews (CCB, DCCB, Gate), in pursuit of airworthiness certification. Position may require completing an FAA Flight Physical and U.S. Navy Water Survival in the performance of operating test equipment onboard P-8A aircraft or others. Candidate will also perform logistics/shipping processes to support relocating test equipment to test site locations.

Experience
Position requires knowledge of configuration, connection, and troubleshooting experience of common tactical datalinks and terminals. Extensive knowledge for the preparation, movement, emplacement and operation of V/UHF radio equipment and tactical data systems, specifically, configuration and testing of ground-based radios such as PRC-152A, PRC-117Gs, and PRC-158 radios, ensuring all firmware and software are compliant and radios are operating properly. Ability to use AUTOCAD for mechanical/electrical designs will be needed to support developing new RDT&E test tool integration efforts. Attending system design, planning/logistics meetings will also be required. Experience solving difficult problems, demonstrating sound judgment, and making decisions swiftly and accurately, particularly in high-pressure situations. Candidate will also have experience briefing senior civilian and military personnel on project/program status and results.

Education
Two-year technical Associates Degree from a trade school, plus 5 years of experience. Ten years of experience may substitute for no trade school completion. Prior military aviation electronics technician experience a plus.

Clearance
Candidate must currently have a SECRET clearance and be able to acquire a DoD TOP SECRET clearance.

Travel
Occasional CONUS and OCONUS travel will be required. 10% - 15%

Physical requirements for this position include the ability to lift 25 pounds regularly, the ability to move safely in confined spaces, the ability to wear personal protective gear correctly when needed, the ability to go onsite to company and customer worksites, the ability to remain seated for extended periods of time, the ability to use a computer keyboard, and the ability to see and respond to dangerous situations when needed.
