Must-Have Skills:
Consumer device experience, CAD design (preferred Siemens NX and Teamcenter)
Familiarity with Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), Reliability Testing and Failure Analysis (FA)
Nice-to-have Skills:
5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering of handheld and/or wearable electronics, including antenna/RF systems
Familiarity with antenna manufacturing technologies such as LDS, LSP, IML, Stamped Metal, and flex antennas, and experience working with antenna/ME vendors
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mechanical Engineer, The successful candidate will play a key role in the development of antenna systems, utilizing advanced technologies to enable the future of Client Product ecosystems.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering.
Experience with CAD design (preferred Siemens NX and Teamcenter) for consumer electronic products.
Proficiency in mechanical design principles, materials (including plastic, metal, conductive/non-conductive adhesive, etc.), and manufacturing processes (such as injection molding, composites, CNC, etc.).
Familiarity with Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), Reliability Testing and Failure Analysis (FA).
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to implement antenna-related radiating/feeding/grounding structures within small form factors.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Responsibilities
The mechanical engineer will be responsible for realizing antenna concepts through all phases of projects by applying knowledge of mechanical design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials to determine appropriate methods and develop processes to various antenna system implementations.
Design and develop antenna-related mechanical components into mechanical enclosures.
Develop detailed CAD enabling ElectroMagnetic (EM) simulations and prototyping.
Work closely with suppliers and manufacturing partners to ensure that mechanical designs can be successfully implemented in prototyping.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including PD/ID/Material engineers, to ensure that antenna architectures can be translated to the product design meeting product requirements and specifications.
Conduct simulations and analysis to optimize mechanical designs for antenna performance, cost, and manufacturability.
Preferred Qualifications
MS or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or related field
5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering of handheld and/or wearable electronics, including antenna/RF systems.
Good understanding of RF/Antenna fundamentals, including antenna structure, feeding structures, and performance trade-offs.
Familiarity with antenna manufacturing technologies such as LDS, LSP, IML, Stamped Metal, and flex antennas, and experience working with antenna/ME vendors.
