We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Quality Engineer to join our team in Athens, Georgia

Position Overview:

As a Quality Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products throughout the development and manufacturing processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement effective quality control measures and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities:
  • Analyze product failures and implement corrective and preventive actions to address internal and external customer complaints.
  • Communicate technical issues effectively with internal teams, suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare accurate and timely Production Part Approval Processes (PPAPs) for customers and review supplier PPAPs.
  • Conduct quality audits of supplier operating systems as needed.
  • Travel to supplier and customer locations to resolve issues and implement containment measures.
  • Provide technical support and training to engineering and manufacturing personnel.
  • Participate in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and feasibility review meetings.
  • Support and participate in internal audit activities.
  • Manage the Material Review Board (MRB) hold area.
  • Adhere to all plant and office safety protocols.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in industrial, manufacturing, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a manufacturing quality role.
  • Strong understanding of AIAG-formatted PPAP requirements.
  • Proficiency in quality analysis tools such as 8D and PFMEA.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams effectively.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.
