Job Description:

ZO Motors is seeking a highly motivated individual with strong background in vehicle High Voltage & Charging systems to join us in the development and deployment of our zero-emission commercial vehicles with Li-ion battery and Hydrogen technologies for the global markets. This individual will collaborate closely with both internal team and external vendors to customize the solutions to mee the regulations and customer needs of target regions. This individual must have strong knowledge of electric vehicle high voltage system and various methods of lithium battery charging from Level 1 to Level 3. This individual must be proficient at influencing cross-functionally and deliver strong results. Come to join our start-up culture, work fast and smart, while adapting and iterating fast.

Job Responsibilities
  • Develop commercial vehicle that meets different region's homologation and performance requirements. Those markets include Asia, Mid-East, Latin America, and North America.
  • Work closely with vendors and suppliers to define specification, functions and features and develop the vehicle high voltage system, including battery pack, motor & inverter, OBC, DCDC, charge ports.
  • Work with charging product suppliers and vendors to establish ZO Motors' charging solutions (AC charging and/or DC fast charging) to our customers in various markets.
  • Manage the entire project, plan and execute with clear focus on meeting project timeline and budget. Summarize progress status regularly to report to company executives.
  • Directly report to the company CTO with extensive cross-functional coordination with engineering, marketing & sales, homologation and regulations, supply chain management, manufacturing, and outside vendors.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
  • 3+ years Experiences in electric vehicle high voltage systems (battery pack, motor/inverter, OBC, DCDC, PDU, thermal management).
  • Strong knowledge of electric vehicle charging protocols for various global markets, including all AC charging and DC fast charging methods (CCS1/CCS2/NACS/CHAdeMo).
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements for battery safety in global markets.
  • Strong capability in managing suppliers/vendors to meet project objectives.
  • Good communication skills and high degree of autonomy with the ability to navigate ambiguous problems, develop solutions, and drive products forward with minimal guidance.
  • Expected to travel (~25%) overseas.

Other Desired Qualifications
  • Master's degree or equivalent
  • Experience in design & release process.
  • Experience in charging network management and establishment.
  • Experience in V2X and collaboration with municipality and electricity/utility companies.

Salary range dependent based on experience.
