Job Description:

Job Title: Systems Admin

Location: Lancaster, South Carolina

A renowned developer and manufacturer of products dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for both people and their beloved pets is looking for a skilled Systems Admin. As a Systems Admin, you will be responsible for administering and maintaining systems support for software, hardware, and servers. Your duties will include testing, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving all related problems, as well as providing timely technical support to users and collaborating with them to solve existing issues.

Additionally, you will employ best-in-class security protocols to safeguard our existing and new infrastructure systems. Your responsibilities will encompass systems administration functions for Windows AD Infrastructure, Office 365, software updates and patches, anti-virus systems, local company systems, cloud-hosted company systems, and backups.

Requirements:
  • Working knowledge of networking concepts, Routing / Switching, Operating Systems technologies, cybersecurity technologies, IP, Advanced Protocols, LAN and WAN
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Server versions 2012 to most recent, Microsoft Active Directory, and O365/Exchange
  • Working knowledge of server and desktop / laptop operating systems - such as Windows Server 2012 to 2022, and desktop / laptop operating systems such as Windows 10 and 11
  • VMware 6.5+ experience configuring and managing virtual servers
  • Associate degree in Computer Science (BS preferred) and/or equivalent technical certification with a minimum of 4 to 5 years of proven System Administrator experience
  • Industry-recognized technical certification such as a Microsoft MCSE, Network+, Server+ or A+ preferred but not required
  • Working technical knowledge and experience with LAN, WAN
  • Working technical knowledge and experience with Windows desktop and laptop operating systems
  • Working technical knowledge and experience with Windows Server operating systems and associated services (DNS, DHCP, Group Policies, AD Admin Tools)
  • Working technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards, including hardware RAID, Active Directory, and TCP/IP
