REPORTS TO: Quality Manager

Design cutting-edge tests, specify inspection methods, and orchestrate meticulous documentation in both lab and production settings. Dive deep into the heart of quality assurance, where you'll analyze materials and products at every stage, ensuring excellence from inception to completion. Your role extends beyond routine tasks - you'll unravel the mysteries of product failures, paving the way for innovative solutions.

With the freedom to define technical approaches, you'll be the architect of quality, shaping projects with your expertise. Take the lead in initiating and executing corrective actions, ensuring customer satisfaction and product integrity. Delve into auditing and vendor qualification, crafting inspection procedures that set new standards. Your toolkit will encompass state-of-the-art precision instruments, backed by statistical prowess, to chart and conquer any variances. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • FAI's, PPAP, and First Piece Inspections to ensure that all products meet the established specifications for workmanship and adherence to print specifications.
  • gages, templates, and other manufacturing aids to ensure that all products meet the print specifications.
  • work assigned in the allotted time.
  • must meet company quality standards.
  • completion of assigned work, work area, and equipment must meet company 5S standards.
  • all variances in product/process standards to the Manager.
  • activities with supplier issues.
  • process audits and assist manufacturing with the interpretation of the quality and workmanship standards.
  • all quality data into the appropriate electronic or manual systems.

ABILITIES:
  • reading.
  • math skills (calculator) and ability to use basic satirical process control software.
  • abilities to use and set up measurement devices such as a CMM, optical comparator, and Virtek machines.

PHYSICAL ABILITIES:
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate office equipment, hearing and speaking to exchange information in person or on the telephone, seeing to inspect documents for accuracy, sitting for extended periods of time, reaching to retrieve and maintain files, bending, pushing, moving, and lifting objects up to 50 pounds.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • years of Quality Engineering experience, preferably in the metal manufacturing environment.
  • Engineering degree or related work experience equivalent.
