My client is a global trading firm with over a decade of experience trading in increasingly competitive markets. I am currently looking for a trading systems engineer to join a team of A players.
Goals:
Designing and implementing robust support processes to ensure seamless operations, software deployment, and proactive monitoring of production trading technologies.
Ensuring uninterrupted availability of trading systems to capitalize on key trading opportunities across several asset classes.
Supporting production systems for diverse trading groups, maintaining up-time and performance.
Developing custom process automation and monitoring tools.
Assisting in deploying and maintaining proprietary trading systems in a multi-platform environment, predominantly Linux.
Investigating and resolving trading system incidents caused by internal or external factors.
Automating software configuration and deployment procedures to minimize errors and enhance change management.
Providing technical support for core market connectivity, liaising with exchanges to address trade order.
Requirements:
3+ years of Linux experience, with CentOS and/or Ubuntu preferred.
Previous involvement in supporting electronic trading systems within the IB space.
Proficient troubleshooting skills in trading systems, Linux OS, and network communications.
Strong scripting in Python (not quite developer level, but close).
Experience supporting high-performance applications, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with FIX and Binary.
