G & G Industries, an ISO/TS 16949 supplier of automotive interior trim components and engine compartment/underbody insulators, and industry leader in manufacturing composite molded substrates, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer/Project Engineer.
Responsibilities will include:
Design & implementation of new processes/products
Optimization of existing processes, tooling & equipment
Work as part of a team on new product launches
Involvement in new and used capital equipment installation and setup
Oversight of design and build of product tooling
Management of project budgets
Hands-on robot programming assistance for automated waterjet and material transfer systems
Work closely with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance and Manufacturing team members to troubleshoot process, quality and equipment issues
Involvement in plant & process layout activities
Documentation of Engineering changes & process changes
Lead root cause analysis and execute effective corrective actions
Assist manufacturing operators with training and support on early builds
Participation in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement projects
Lead scrap, labor and waste reduction activities
Promote a teamwork environment
Comply with Company quality standards and IATF 16949 guidelines
Promote health and safety in all aspects of engineering and product launch
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering
Desired Work Experience:
Preferred Candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience in Automotive parts manufacturing is preferred
Desired Skills:
Ability to work in a team environment and have a positive attitude
Robot programming of ABB, Yaskawa/Motoman, and/or Fanuc a plus
