Russell Tobin has partnered with a premier specialty manufacturer in the Jamestown, NY area to add a QMS Technician to their growing team! As a QMS Technician, you will be pivotal in ensuring compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100D standards while fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.
Responsibilities:
Maintain and update Quality Management System (QMS) procedures and work instructions to align with ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100D standards.
Coordinate reviews and approvals for updates to QMS procedures and work instructions.
Provide training to process owners on document content and level of detail to ensure consistency across the QMS.
Manage and facilitate internal corrective actions, collaborating with relevant stakeholders.
Assist teams in identifying and implementing effective corrective actions to address quality issues.
Verify the effectiveness of completed corrective actions in preventing recurrence of original problems.
Monitor and report monthly metrics for internal and external corrective actions to management.
Conduct internal audits to identify opportunities for QMS improvements and ensure compliance with quality standards.
Support Quality staff during QMS audits conducted by customers and external auditors.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
Experience in a manufacturing environment with ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100D accreditation.
Proficiency in Quality software such as Unipoint for document control, non-conformance reports, and corrective action management.
Familiarity with root cause analysis methods including 5-Why, 8D Problem Solving, or Fishbone Diagram.
Experience with QMS audits conducted by customers and external auditors.
Ability to perform QMS internal audits effectively.
