JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Work with Project Engineers to ensure the reliability and maintainability of new and modified installation
  2. Participate in the development of design and installation specifications along with commission plans
  3. Participate in the final check-out of new installations to assure adherence to functional specifications
  4. Track the production losses and abnormally high maintenance cost assets and find ways to reduce those losses or high costs through root cause analysis, plan approval, then facilitate implementation
  5. Guides efforts to ensure reliability and maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, facilities, controls and safety/security systems
  6. Provides input to a risk management plan that will anticipate reliability related and non-reliability related risks that could adversely impact plant operations
  7. Develops engineering solutions to repetitive failures and all other problems that adversely affect plant operations
  8. Insures that proper safety procedures are specified and documented on all planned jobs


SUCCESSFUL INCUMBENTS WILL HAVE:

BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Ten plus years engineering experience in a production, manufacturing or plant environment

Experience working in a safe manner that promotes the health and well-being of the individual and the environment

Analytical thinking and problem solving skills

Communication and presentation skills sufficient to communicate thoughts succinctly to Management

Routine communication with customers and vendors

Have a solid background using PC software applications including Microsoft Office Suite

Be familiar with applicable codes, regulations and standards
  • Must successfully complete a pre-employment physical and drug screen
  • Must successfully obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential card (TWIC)
