Position Overview:

A Sales Representative is responsible for developing Next-Gen/BradyPLUS’ growing JanSan segment. Working with the local CRM, sales representative will follow up on leads, identify key markets, and use Next-Gen/BradyPLUS sales process to grow the division. Responsibilities include prospecting and qualifying new leads, developing key relationships, and identifying and resolving customer concerns.

We passionately serve customers in the JanSan, Foodservice, and Industrial Packaging markets, delivering the right products and solutions to ensure their businesses are more successful everyday.

Note: This position requires daily travel throughout the Northshore, Southern New Hampshire, South Maine and surrounding territory.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates with Sales Manager to drive and support corporate programs with a focus on chemicals, paper, and other key janitorial segments.
  • Develops and implements plans to penetrate sales in Hospitality, Industrial, Health Care, Public Sector, Education and Foodservice Industries.
  • Sets sales and gross margins goals for the territory, develops, and implements sales programs and helps develop, drive, and support Corporate programs and strategy. Focus on Next-Gen/BradyPLUS core vendor lines - chemical, soap, liners, and paper sales.
  • Understands the sales process, takes a proactive approach to hunting, qualifying, presenting, closing, and following up on business.
  • Maximize their industry and increase product knowledge to help customers navigate alternatives and avoid potential pitfalls.
  • Follows up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activities.
  • Develops and maintains sales materials and current product knowledge.
  • Prepares sales presentations, proposals, sales contracts, contract activation, service contracts maintenance, status reports, sales activity reports, sales goals, sales closings and sales follow-up calls.
  • Collaboratively works with manufacturers to expand and develop market share for key manufacturers that the company promotes.
  • Works collaboratively with marketing on sales related materials.
  • Works collaboratively with contracts department, asks appropriate questions, controls emotions, encouraging, takes responsibility, and does not accept mediocrity.
  • Identifies and resolves client concerns.
  • Identifies white space and GAP Analysis opportunities for customer penetration and organic growth.
  • Manages customer price files and cost to customer. Communicates with procurement teams to proactively plan for customer inventory demands.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • High School Diploma required, college degree in sales/marketing or business preferred.
  • 2-5 years of related sales or related experience, or the equivalent combination of formal education and experience.
  • Must have and maintain “satisfactory” driving record
  • Ability to conduct themselves with Next-Gen/BradyPLUS Core Values
  • Goal-oriented and proactive.
  • CRM experience preferred, knowledge of Salesforce a plus.
  • Problem solving, negotiation and analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to self-motivate and challenge customers.
  • Ability to develop marketing and sales strategies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills and detailed oriented.
  • Intermediate or advanced computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft office suite including word and excel.
  • Self-starter with strong time-management skills and personal work ethic.
  • Must possess a strong sense of accomplishment, initiative, and tenacity
