We currently partnered with currently seeking a skilled Python Developer to join our dynamic team in Houston. As a key contributor, you will play a pivotal role in our focus on the energy transition and providing clean energy solutions across the United States.
Responsibilities:
? Develop and maintain Python-based applications with expertise in business analysis, design, testing, and support.
? Propose and implement improved technical solutions the company's existing stack.
? Build reusable and well-tested code to optimize performance and reliability.
? Utilize microservice architecture to develop distributed applications via REST API.
? Demonstrate proficiency in Unix/Linux environments and DevOps practices.
? Collaborate with stakeholders across teams to deliver scalable solutions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
? Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
? 2+ years commercial Python experience
? Proficiency in writing PL-SQL queries and working with relational databases.
? Experience developing unit and regression test cases using Python.
? Knowledge of multi-threaded programming and memory management.
? Familiarity with microservice architecture and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) is a plus.
? Previous experience in commodity trading, risk management, or fintech is advantageous.
? Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
Base salary from $100,000 to $130,000 + 20% annual bonus, and the client requires 4 days per week onsite in Houston.
