JOB DESCRIPTION

Under general supervision, this position lead the following activities: integration of all upcoming model changes or new models into series operations in the Body Shop lines. Will support the Process Engineering department to provide seamless integration of new models and equipment.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Support all Model Year Activities for Body Shop.
  • Plan for seamless integration of changes so as not to Impact series volumes. Coordinate all changes with the Process Engineer for each affected line.
  • Work with the Body Shop Model Year team to support all trial requirements. Support the launch and integration of the BR167 Model Year trials.
  • Schedule body start timing with PE and Production of all trial bodies. Create rider sheets (digital or hard copy) for all trial bodies.
  • Maintain plan versus actual body start and body ship schedules for trial bodies. Develop and maintain Model Year checklists for all Production Trials.
  • Insure all quality requirements are achieved for existing and new models. Insure all cycle time targets are achieved for existing and new models.
  • Insure all cycle time targets are achieved for existing and new models.
  • Perform safe work practices and participate in trainings and safety programs In a positive and proactive way by following safety rules, procedures, regulations, standards andlaws. Report all unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and injuries to supervisor or Human Resources.
  • Work safely 100% of the time.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Professional Experience

A minimum of five (5) years' of relevant professional experience in the following area(s):
  • Automotive Body Shop
  • Paint Shop
  • Or similar manufacturing environment

Required Skills (These skills are essential to perform the job)

  • Project Coordination
  • Ability to work in a team environment

Preferred skills (These skills are not essential but useful)

  • Working knowledge of any of the following body shop technologies:

• stud welding,
• spot welding,
• sealing/gluing,
• MIG welding,
• impact joining,
• riveting,
• vision systems,
• confix,
• Joining
  • Project experience

Minimum Level of Education

This position requires a bachelor's degree in:

  • Industrial Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Computer Engineering/Computer
  • Or related area or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
