LHH Recruitment Solutions is looking for a Senior Staff Accountant for a client in Northern Kentucky. This position will be a 1-3-month contract role to cover a leave. Ideal candidates will have at least 5 years of accounting experience along with intermediate to advanced Excel skills. This position is 100% onsite in Covington, KY. Pay for this role will range between $28 and $40/hr.
Responsibilities:
Prepare month-end close workpapers/schedules in support of the accurate and timely delivery of the financial results for internal and external reporting requirements for multiple entities.
Responsible for reporting daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting requirements, including but not limited to journal entries, reconciliations, analysis of activities and variance analysis.
Will perform elimination and consolidation reporting procedures.
Assist in completing and updating cash forecast information on a routine basis.
Work hand in hand with the business unit leaders to support them with reporting and analysis.
Review, investigate, and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
Assists with annual audits and tax requirements including workpapers, reconciliations and gathering supporting documentation.
Represent the Company in a professional manner, maintaining a professional and courteous attitude when dealing with coworkers and the public.
Must be dynamic to deal with a variety of people with varying degrees of accounting knowledge to convey accounting information and concepts.
Work on special projects that will surface from time to time.
Requirements:
4+ years of general accounting experience
Intermediate to advanced Excel experience
Strong attention to detail
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
Effective communication skills
Ability to work 100% onsite in northern Kentucky.
