A Robert Half client in Martin/St. Lucie County is looking for Senior Financial Analyst to play a pivotal role in the company's financial operations.
You'll be responsible for ensuring accurate SEC external filings, analyzing financial results with various business units, and maintaining a deep understanding of accounting principles.
Responsibilities:
Ensure timely completion of quarterly external filings, including Form 10-Q and Form 10-K.
Collaborate closely with business units and accounting teams to deliver accurate financial data.
Manage end-to-end processes for loans and allowance, including monthly activity analysis and model review.
Review financial statements and disclosures to ensure compliance with GAAP standards.
Oversee financial systems and data integrity to ensure accurate reporting.
Analyze business drivers behind financial results and contribute to investor presentations and SEC filings.
Evaluate and account for complex transactions such as mergers, acquisitions, and revenue recognition.
Implement technology-driven changes to enhance accounting processes.
Stay updated on accounting rules and emerging issues, adapting processes and controls as needed.
Develop and maintain accounting policies to ensure compliance with GAAP and SEC regulations.
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of experience in financial analysis or related roles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles.
Experience with SEC reporting and regulations.
Ability to prepare and review Form 10-K and Form 10-Q filings.
Experience with Workiva reporting software preferred.
Knowledge of Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) processes.
Experience in banking credit analysis.
Familiarity with banking regulations and compliance.
Prior experience in the banking industry.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required; CFA or CPA preferred.
