Summary of Position: Family Office focused on Real Estate Development; Reporting to the Owner, this Senior Finance/Accountant role will work with Owner on raising equity, meeting with investors, projections for ROI, prepare proformas; as well as full charge accountant for multiple companies working on various accounting related projects and initiatives with outside CPA.
Position Responsibilities:
Assisting with Raising Equity for Real Estate Developments
Meetings and presentations for Investors and Potential Investors
Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with accounting principles and company policies
Conduct comprehensive analysis of revenue and other key accounts
Prepare monthly bank and balance sheet account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records and identifying any discrepancies or variances for timely resolution
Act as a key player in the completion of annual financial statements working closely with CPA
Collaborate effectively with colleagues and cross-functional teams on various projects
Assist with other accounting functions/ special projects as needed
Make recommendations and suggestions for improvements and efficiencies related to accounting functions and processes
Human Resource functions
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting and an active CPA license are required
6+ years' experience of progressive accounting experience, with a focus on General Ledger accounting
Proficiency in accounting software systems and Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point
Experience in public accounting and raising private equity
Effective time management skills, ensuring efficient task prioritization and completion
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with a commitment to delivering high quality work
