Job Description:

Our client, a healthcare company in Houston, is seeking a passionate and experienced Director of Finance to lead the financial operations and empower strategic decision-making. You will be a key member of the leadership team, providing insightful analysis and driving financial performance excellence.

In this role, you will:
  • Steer Financial Strategy: Lead the financial planning and analysis process, crafting budgets, forecasts, and long-range plans to fuel business growth.
  • Sharpen Financial Acumen: Analyze key metrics and performance indicators to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure Financial Transparency: Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, keeping stakeholders informed and confident.
  • Safeguard Financial Integrity: Implement robust risk mitigation strategies and internal controls to protect company assets.
  • Collaborate for Success: Partner with department heads to establish financial targets, monitor budget performance, and drive operational excellence.
  • Champion Strategic Initiatives: Provide financial insights and support for mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic transactions.
  • Invest in the Future: Evaluate investment opportunities and capital allocation decisions to maximize shareholder value.
  • Foster a High-Performing Team: Build and lead a talented finance team, providing mentorship and professional development opportunities.
  • Bridge the Gap: Effectively communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.

We're looking for a candidate with:
  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a senior finance role with a proven track record of financial leadership and strategic thinking.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data and translate it into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to engage all levels of the organization.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, Excel, and financial management systems.
  • Solid understanding of relevant regulatory requirements and accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS).
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to build strong relationships and influence across the organization.

Bonus points if you have:
  • Experience in the healthcare industry.
  • Experience with NetSuite, Bill.com, and Concur platforms.
  • Experience in multi-site environments.
  • An MBA and/or CPA certification.
