The Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine (ICOM) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Family or Internal Medicine Faculty to join our team in providing high-quality education and training to our medical students. Responsibilities
Collaborate with a diverse team of faculty to develop and implement the Family or Internal Medicine curriculum
Conduct lectures, seminars, and workshops to educate and engage medical students in their pursuit of knowledge and skills
Provide guidance and support to students in their research projects and scholarly activities
Participate in curriculum evaluation and improvement efforts to ensure the program remains aligned with the latest medical practices and advancements
Engage in academic and scholarly pursuits that create and add knowledge in the medical field
Contribute to the administrative functions of the department and college by participating in faculty meetings and committees
Requirements
A Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) or Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from an accredited institution
Board certification in Family or Internal Medicine
Previous experience working as a faculty member in a medical school or academic setting is preferred
Strong clinical skills and a commitment to evidence-based medicine
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage and mentor medical students
Ability to contribute to scholarly activities through research, publications, and presentations
A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with medical advances
