Insight Global is seeking a candidate for a Senior Electronics Engineer (with BSEE or MSEE) at our Kentucky USA office. In this role, you will be responsible for overall electronic design, subsystems and modules for the GNSS receivers and products within the JAVAD portfolio. The ideal candidate should have strong GNSS receiver development capability to support product design from concept to production. This role requires strong hands-on experience in lab testing and debugging GNSS products and peripherals. Overall, this role should have proven experience in supporting and communicating with international team members and suppliers for design, integration and product delivery.
Responsibilities
Define electronic design scope and requirements per GNSS product
Define GNSS receiver architecture and document block diagrams for RF, ADC, CPU, Memory, ASIC and key functions
Perform cost analysis for proposed solutions
Create schematics including symbols creator PCB footprints
Manage BOM & EOL components
Design custom PCBs, including component placement, routing particular special classes, and PCB routing
Write test plans and procedures
Perform Design Verification Tests
Work with suppliers and Contract Manufacturers
Qualifications • BSEE or MSEE and 5 years of related experience • Experience with PCB design software, including Altium, Cadence, OrCAD or similar • Experience with simulation and modeling tools, and signal integrity tools • Experience with power supply design for GNSS receivers • Experience with GNSS receiver module and signal protocol • High-speed multi-gigabit digital system design experience • Experience with system clock design • Experience with general lab equipment, including oscilloscopes, signal generator, electronic load, and spectrum analyzers • Experience in designing with microprocessors, memory devices, power system, high speed transceivers, cellular modems, WiFi/BT/GNSS devices and various serial interfaces
